Sunday Dinner
[info]petitboyblogger
At Burgoo Promenade. Well it's that time of the week again. We had a "light" dinner over there. Food was mediocre though.

Jambalaya with some pasta which IDK what it's called..

Burgoo

A very dense Paella.
IMHO

Burgoo

Tomato based pasta which I <3. Puttanesca, maybe? I really DK..

Burgoo

There goes my Sunday dinner. OKAY, I better stop looking at these food photos. It's making me hungry again.

must see temples (part 2 - Ta Keo)

2. TA KEO

Ta Keo

an angkor style temple, i love ta keo because it reminded me of the mayan temples that i see on TV. i haven't been to any of the mayan or incan temples in south/central america.. but it somewhat looked like them.

climbing it is a must. the view from the top is great. though i would say, this is probably the toughest temple to climb.

Ta Keo

it's about three levels, with stairs as steep as this:

i love how the boulders form shadows when hit by afternoon sun

must see temples (part 1 - BENG MEALEA)
[info]legally_bald

during my 3 day trip in siem reap, i was able to see, probably 80% of the temples in the archaeological park. sometimes we skipped lunch, then once we paid extra to the guard to be able to get in since one of them closes early. also, the weather was perfect, it was cold in the morning, it was hot in the afternoon, but not as humid and as hot when you travel during summer months. i heard august is the worst. so i suggest, when traveling to siem, best to go between the months of november-march.

so if you're not the super temple person and if you would just want to see the best ones, here are my temple favorites:

1. BENG MEALEA

Beng Mealea

beng mealea is about 77 kms north of the archaeological park. it's not a popular tourist spot since it's bit far, but all of us agreed that no trip to siem reap is complete without visiting this temple.

Beng Mealea

you can't even enter through the gate because it's in shambles. good thing the locals made this wooden planks for you to use to get in the temple.

Beng Mealea

once you enter the temple, you'll just be in awe with the sights. i kept on taking pictures, but the photos just can't give justice to what you'll see in there. magnificent!

Beng Mealea

you can climb at your own risk, but there are locals to guide you. just pay them about $2 at the end of your exploration.

Beng Mealea

when in beng mealea, look for the apsara dancer cupping her boob. it's the only one in the whole of angkor. conservative ata dito.

My Mom Is A Jeanious

As most of you may know, we own a store in Divisoria. Today, deliveries from Hongkong arrived at our house.

Owning your own store has it's certain privileges. One of these privileges is The Swag.

This time, I got 3 new jeans.

The first one is this pair of Acid Washed jeans.

It's so rad! God is in the details--I love the studs on the pockets!

Next, I got these pair of Zebra Printed Jeans.

I really love zebra prints so these are perfect! I can only think of one word to describe it, say it with me, FIERCE!

Lastly, I got these pair of faded jeans with a surprise detail at the bottom.

I just love the floral detail! It's such a nice touch!

Thanks Mom for The Swag! I love that you know my style and know exactly what to give me even without me telling you! You are definitely a genious! :D

Thank you to everyone who commiserated with me when I posted about my frustration with Fedex yesterday. I ended up going to the Fedex office 20 minutes away from our house. After 40 minutes of looking for it, the Fedex folk gave me my package. I paid P4,500 in cash for the customs and taxes. They gave me an official sales invoice, not an official receipt.

Today is a special day. I don't want to cloud this day with negativity. So I hid that post away. I think we all got the point. There are things neither we nor they can explain about their customs procedure. Thank you to those who recommended I use other couriers in the future.

Retail Therapy?
[info]petitboyblogger
Okay. I confess. Time to air my "dirty laundry" out in the open for all of you to devour like a bunch of hungry carnivores who has not eaten raw flesh for days. (T.M.I! *bleech*...) I was telling myself last Saturday that I won't buy anything new but I guess I couldn't resist it so yeah, I gave in to it. ROFLMAO. It wasn't a "big one" just a new shirt from Folded and Hung x Tim Yap collab. that's all. Nothing major.
