Buying concert tickets at SM Megamall always stresses me given the money we're paying, I never get VIP seats before the 10th row. This is because all the freaking sponsors block those seats and just give them away—sometimes some seats never get occupied and you see all these empties in front of you. What a waste!
So I went back to SM to buy tickets. It took such a long time because they have a really archaic way of seat choices. They have this clearbook with xeroxes of the seat plans and the salesperson looks at this really, really old computer screen where she can't see the whole seating plan.

As in she has to open each section of seating to tell you what's available. It is such a tedious process.
After working with her for about 15 minutes I told her, "Miss, can I just look at the screen para I'll know what you're looking at. We'll be done in two minutes. You know when you check in sa plane online you can choose your seats. Or kahit sa sinehan diba you can choose your seats? I can't see kasi what you're looking at. Puede ba iharap mo na lang sa akin?"
So she did, and guess what I saw? MS DOS, que horror! She was looking at a black screen with green letters.
OK, this was not her screen, but you get the picture. There was no seat plan, only numbers and letters of what's available.

I wanted to shout, shout let it all out. Nakakaloka at nakakaawa. Isn't SM the richest man in the Philippines?
Ticketnet should really invest in new computers and a new computer program. I mean seriously. Hindi ko kinaya.

Yun o!

Believe me when I say that money can't buy everything. Like class, taste, breeding, or plain old compassion...
