Dear Kind Reader,

I've been receiving email from readers overseas who want to donate money for typhoon victims, and for that purpose I made the Paypal button below.
I have received $25 on it. The reason I was hesitant in putting this up is because I still have Fabella money.

To date I have already bought two hospital grade Medela Lactina breast pumps and six units of of oxygen regulators with flowmeters. Exact figures to follow. Candy Dizon will take them to Fabella tomorrow.

I would like to thank Edmond and Melissa for donations of diapers and various baby items dropped off at Pepper Lunch Shang and Rockwell.

Rea of Moms 4 Moms asked me to donate to an orphanage housing victims of Typhoon Ondoy.
I hope you don't mind I have pledged Php 60,000 of Fabella money to Alay Sa Puso. This is the charity of Mother Teresa here. They take care of abandoned children. The facility is now also taking care of children who are victims of Ondoy.

So here's that Paypal button. Another typhoon is coming up in a couple of days and we are bracing ourselves. I can't tell you how terrified we are.

I will consult with my cousin-in-law John-D Borra who is heading operations over at Megatent what to do with the money as well as Rea of Moms 4 Moms.

Rest assured your donations will be received by good hands and will go to typhoon victims. As always, I'll keep you up-to-date with the tally of both Fabella and Typhoon Relief.
God bless and please pray for us.

God bless you Ms. C. Praying with you

Thanks Ate Cecile! We're open 24 hours a day, and deploy up to 12 MN. Donations and manpower are always welcome. We'll stay open until Monday.

The numbers cannot even begin to describe the sheer awesomeness of the people we've worked with. Heroes, all of them!

Hi Chuvaness. Where is the Alay sa Puso orphanage located and would you happen to have their contact number? I have some baby equipment that I'd like to donate. Thanks.

you can get in touch through Rea of Moms4Moms. What kind of equipment?

I'm really praying Fabella is safe and it didn't suffer as much as the other hospitals.

Nothing major. Just stuff that my toddler outgrew and that Alay sa Puso may be able to use. A crib, an umbrella stroller, etc.

ok I'll get the address for you. please remind me!

Alright. I tried to google it but haven't found contact details online. I'm sure it's there somewhere though. Will check again. I was about to dispose of the baby equipment thru ebay but felt guilty about it after I saw the picture you posted.

please email me at chuvaness@livejournal.com
I'll ask Rea what the address is

People from abroad can also donate directly to Red Cross via Paypal: give@redcross.org.ph :)
