Jericho Rosales

wow such a brave young man! i <3 him

i wonder where this is?

according to pep.ph, this was in vista real classica in qc.

this is in vista real classica, a subdivision off commonwealth in qc. my friend lives in the same subdivision -- she and her hubby just finished building their home this year and it was heartbreaking to see it disappear into the muddy waters. flood waters almost reached the 2nd floor.

haah, glad to be back online!

after the sanrio luxe launch, i wanted to wait out the rain so i had coffee at sbux at the basement level, but they close at 9 so i had to relocate but i decided to go home already.

so many things went wrong like the taxi breaking down in the middle of the pouring rain and when i got home no one was there.

i fell asleep staring at HMG shirt # 4 i got instead of the hello kitty X tokidoki hanky, but i woke up the next morning to neighbors shouting. it had rained so much during the night that floodwater was up to our house's door and people outside were worried about it entering as our house was just one floor.

there was no electricity, no food, and all streets around were waist deep in water. all my phones and gadgets had run out of battery and i had no candles!

i sat by the door with a little bonfire praying for the rain to stop because i was trapped.

i worried about my sister, my classmates, relatives, friends...

But God is Good and made the rain pour a lot less until it stopped, and the waters began to recede.

everyone's okay, and i pray for everyone who's going through tough times. saturday and sunday i couldn't get on the net, and all that time i thought, what would chuvaness do?

i'll make sure to drop outreach stuff at the donations box at school and at my condo...

life. =]

i always thought he was a nice guy, even during his big brother days.

if only our elected officials (or any presidentiable) had the cojones to do the same thing, di yung puro dakdak at utos at turuan.

Ay, by the way, aside from Gerald Anderson, Jericho Rosales was also seen surfing through Marikina and helping out people. Now if only I know how to post photos in comments...

get a Flickr account. Post your picture there. Go to ALL SIZES, choose the size, copy the HTML code and post your photo here.

try it!

Ay thanks! Now we try..

Jericho Rosales

ang bilis!

omg they're so brave
I really admire them for this

the good thing is they never talked about it. i think i saw gerald anderson on the buzz on sunday and he never mentioned this to any of the hosts. good job, guys!

Agree! I think Gerald only talked about it because Kris asked him about it, kasi the pictures were already circulating.

Unlike some others crowing about how they helped a certain actress stranded on her rooftop in Provident....

all those military training for "tayong dalawa" paid off for david garcia jr. (gerald anderson's character) :)

wow..
god bless them!!!!

it would have been so nice to be saved by jericho.. hahahaha!

the pictures of gerald were taking by a neighbor in their subdivision, vista real classica in quezon city.
after i saw these pictures, it just made me proud to be a fan!
he is amazing! God bless him...
there are many others that should be an example like him!

Mabait talaga si JR Garcia.

I wish him more success. If this is how he is in real life, may God bless him more.

oh my gully! bow ako sa kanila! Treading on muddy murky waters is the most dangerous thing! Bless them!

ok i dont hate them that much anymore. gerald anderson is such a sweety even when he is noon TV.

love them! god bless them

real heroes indeed.

pero guys, pansinin niyo naman si Richard Gutierrez. They're so proud to broadcast his heroic act on tv.:D

http://twitpic.com/jc8g4

btw, don't forget to watch Richard & Christine's upcoming movie, Patient X. hehehe.

peace out.:D

okay, i didn't want to say it pero sana bumalik siya after i rescue niya si cristine.

is it true about this rumor i heard that Richard Gutierrez brought his speedboat thing only to save Christine Reyes, and didn't even bother to come back to save other victims in need? Hmmm....

pumoporma

i heard that cristine could've been rescued three hours earlier but she insisted on waiting for richard. just because they have a movie together??

yes. my aunt and cousin was her neighbor. didn't even bother to help them.

Richard could really use some chivalry lessons from Gerald..

the speedboat was actually just a rubber boat from one of the rescue teams

Wow, such brave souls. Bless them...

I wonder who's the guy in the photo with Gerald... Kapatid kaya nya? They sort of have a resemblance...

ang ang gwapo pa rin ni Gerald in those waters and kakabilib na he's able to swim that good in that water... hands up hands down ako!

Cristine Reyes
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Totoo kaya to?

Personal life

She had a relationship with Dennis Trillo.

Reyes and some family members were trapped on the roof of her house in Marikina due to Tropical Storm Ketsana (local name: Ondoy) on September 26. Streets surrounding her gated community in Marikina were flooded when the Marikina River overflowed. She was at the roof at 1:00 p.m. [7] and was eventually rescued by Richard Gutierrez and a friend around 1:00 a.m. the next morning. Gutierrez declined to help other residents after rescuing Reyes, and even called a press conference to discuss his rescue operation and promote his film with Reyes.

i've seen Richard's interview on ch.7..i snorted as he relayed the story.. parang movie talaga.

they were about to crash into a house so nagdive daw siya para sipain yung speedboat against the house.. whatever dude.

Pati ate niya, won't stop blabbing about the heroic act. I've seen her morning show kanina. she mentioned this again.

annoying lang how people are taking advantage of this catastrophe.

Richard Gutierrez made it to the New York Times.

Ok, it was really brave of him to do that, but come on, NYT? Did he even bother to help other residents who also needed to be rescued since he was already there, with a speed boat?

NOOOOOOOOOOO! :O

I went "wow" to myself. After that, I said out loud to my sister, "Hindi ba neighbor natin si Gerald Anderson?" Hahaha. Sorry na, malilimutin ako. Yup, he's our neighbor here in Vista Real Classica [photos link 1] [photos link 2].

I truly admire Gerald and Echo for their heroic deed. I love Echo even more now. And I think that what Richard Gutierrez did for Christine Reyes was only for show, talagang complete pa with speed boat and all, parang James Bond movie! Kung talagang mabait sya, he should've gone back for the other victims. Hay nako, he's just doing that to redeem himself for all the troubles he has gotten into. Well dude, rescuing poor Christine won't change anything on how people look at you. Ang gimik mo!

nakakasuka si Richard Gutierrez, halatang gimik!!!!!!!

A very moving recount of how a family was saved by these men in surfboards

http://rarrmi.tumblr.com/post/199420511/an-email-from-my-cousin-in-the-philippines

iba talaga ang pinoy! in times of disaster like this, everybody is willing to help.i salute these young men who risk their lives for the sake of others.

hi...i hope you don't mind if i shared these pics on facebook...i think it's worth sharing to their fans...thanks..god bless

If I didn’t know Richard G, I would probably be cynical about what he did too. But Richard is a new friend and I spoke with him about the incident last Sat.

This was his story: He had no plans of saving Christine when he first heard of her plight around noon of Saturday. Like everyone else, he thought somebody else would do the rescuing. Around 7pm Christine sent a mass text saying goodbye. She was already asking for prayers because she didn't think they they'd get out alive pa.

That's when Richard decided to take action. Hindi raw niya kayang isipin na mawawala ang kabigan niya nang wala siyang ginagawa. His words - Kasama ko lang sa shoot kahapon, tapos pababayaan kong mamatay? Hindi kaya ng konsensya ko.

He called all of his friends and his parents' friends. Everyone kept saying, we'll see what we can do. The only person who agreed to help him was a friend who had a boat for sale. It was not a speedboat, small motorized boat lang. It could only fit him and his friend. He didn't take his bodyguard or driver.

He was in dark, deep and dangerous waters for 6 hours before he got to Christine's place. He had to wrestle with wires, floating objects, dead animals, etc. He could only see as far as the light of his flashlight. Ilang beses tumigil ang boat dahil sa mga obstruction. He feared, several times, that he could perish as well.

Thankfully, they encountered a man in jetski who led them to Provident Village and then to Christine's street. After they got her, they were on the boat again for several hours before they reached safer grounds.

Richard's aware that people are questioning his motives. He knows about the chismis going around that he refused to let people on his boat. He said this is not true. Nobody approached them while they were on the boat. And malabo na makilala siya ng tao because it was pitch black. Wala sila halos nakasalubong na tao sa daan. Most people were on their roofs crying for help. He couldn't see them, naririnig lang niya.

Richard really risked his life to save his friend. To say that what he did was just for publicity is just not fair.

Let us try to hold off judgement especially if we don't really know the person. After all, how many among us are willing to do what he did?

for me the issue is really his taking publicity out of it. i think it's better that he saved her and held off on the interviews, to be honest.
oh, and he has other issues to face, such as the death of his PA I read about in Yes magazine last night.
