Six years ago, my friend Jiki used to work for Nickelodeon. She asked Ben (then two years old) and Jeroen to star in Nick Jr.'s "Playful Parent vignette." She just recently told me she uploaded her reels on YouTube. Thanks Jiki!
I still remember the day you shot in our house. Ben was having a tantrum, but the result is not bad. Jeroen still boxes today.
A few days ago I met up Jiki and her friend Maria in Singapore for some food and shopping.
Started out at Wisma Atria where I had my favorite meal at Food Republic. I could eat this everyday.

Some of my must-stops at Wisma include Porter. I can't tell you how many Porter bags I have. I cannot resist them.

They are on sale on July 3! I missed it!

and those deadly Famous Amos no-nut soft-n-chewy chocolate chip cookies!

Heaven!

Then three of us walked to Borders to buy a DVD of
The Secret for Maria.

We ended up lounging at the lovely poolside of the Quincy Hotel on the 12th floor.

At this point, Jiki told us about her racist experience at
Cotton On at Wisma Atria.

Cotton On has two outlets at Wisma. One is lingerie-based and the other stocks very affordable basics.
Too bad because Jiki and I really think this apparel concept would really work in Manila, given the styles and price points.
But read about what happened to Jiki and her friend Daphne
here.
Read the store's response and
her friend's reply.
Us Filipinos could really use some respect, especially from fellow Asians—we're from the same Malay race for heaven's sake.
